Making It Up to the Watcher
All hail the Watcher of Weasels, a most benevolent and kind blogger without peer. Allow me to explain.Over the Christmas holiday's I had a flash of inspiration, or rather, I had a the rather foolish notion that a man of mature years could successfully juggle family, work, and an obsessive hobby (blogging, obviously) while returning to school in pursuit of a Masters in Political Science. Working fast, I was able to get registered and begin coursework. And even though I am taking only a single class to "get my feet wet" and decide if I like it (besides, two courses was just two damn expensive!), my family and hobby have both suffered. A lot.
I must spend every weekend and most evenings studying and my blogging activities have obviously taken a dive in both quantity and quality. Which brings me to my point.
The Watcher kindly invited me to join the Watcher's Council last year, an offer that has both increased my exposure to a large number of quality blogs and increased my traffic. Most importantly, it is been a most enjoyable duty to nominate worthy blog entries each week and to read all those nominated and vote for the best.
But lately I've been falling behind, due to schoolwork (as previously mentioned) as well as increased work responsibilities. But rather than unceremoniously kicking me off of the Council, the Watcher is allowing me to post the following, thereby maintaining my standing in the Council.
