Just Another Tricky Day

A typical weekend in Israel?
  • 26 Palestinians arrested, many of whom are senior Hamas officials.
  • The discovery and subsequent destruction of a tunnel over half-kilometer in length and 20 meters deep, stretching from a house in Gaza into Egypt that was used to smuggle weapons.
  • The shooting of four Palestinians and the capture of four bombs.
Update: It turns out that the 26 Hamas members that were arrested included nearly the entire leadership of Hamas in Shechem, which has been serving as the organization's national headquarters. Way to go, IDF!
