Superbowl Thoughts
I hold a grudge for a long time, so it will come as not surprise when I say I was rooting for the Patriots. As an expatriated Texan I am, of course, a Dallas fan. I have disliked the Eagles since the dirty play style taught by Buddy Ryan.Eagles displayed the worst clock management I can ever recall seeing. I was pleased.
Commercial awards:
- Best commercial: Anheuser-Busch for the applause for troops debarking and walking through an airport.
- Most risque: GoDaddy.com for a wardrobe malfunction at a faux-FCC hearing.
- Funniest: Fed Ex for jamming a celebrity (Burt Reynolds), dancing and talking bear, cute kid, sexy girls, a theme song and a funny one-liner into a single ad.
- Funniest runner-up: M.C. Hammer goes bankrupt.
- Most ineffective: M.C. Hammer goes bankrupt, 'cause I can't remember what the commercial was for.
- Most gratuitus use of sex: Tabasco's Tanlines commercial.
- Best use of a flying celebrity: Frito Lay, as kids threw M.C. Hammer back over a fence.
- Best Dance: Olympus for thier music player/digital camera combo product.
- Best animal acts: Career Builder for at least three different commercials using monkeys in suits.
- Most forgetable: Mamma's boy doll (with magnets so doll could not be unattached from Mamma doll) that advertised (for some inexplicable reason) an anti-perspirant.
- Special mention: Ford Mustang's frozen guy.

Something about that Degree mama's boy ad REALLY rubbed me the wrong way for some reason.
Which I guess makes it a failure as an ad, since I went from neutrally disposed toward their product to actively disliking it afterward.
Two other ads I liked that you left out:
1.) The one with the cat and the tomato sauce with the tagline "Don't jump to conclusions too quickly. We won't."
2.) The one for the NFL with the players on all the other NFL teams singing Tomorrow with the tagline "Tomorrow we're all undefeated again"
