About AlphaPatriot

In real life, AlphaPatriot is Darrell Carden.

The views presented on this site in no way reflects those of my employer, family, friends, acquaintances or distant cousins as these generally fall into three categories: the smart ones that agree with me, those that tolerate me because of my wit, charm, great intellect and modesty, and those who think that I'm a raving wingnut who's one Kennedy away from going medieval on the next vegan moonbat that barks.

Radio News

Fox News is expanding its entry into the radio market:
The service started two years ago and has offered one-minute newscasts to affiliate stations. On Wednesday morning, Fox News is announcing that it's offering the longer newscasts that many talk-oriented stations demand. ...

Fox News Radio, owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., currently presents talk shows with Tony Snow and Alan Colmes. Magee said he expects to expand that lineup, but offered no details. Fox News Radio recently hired 30 people to put its radio expansion plans in effect.

Meanwhile, liberal radio Air America's troubles continue. Comic Lizz Winstead, one of the forces behind the faux news program "The Daily Show", is suing because she devoted her time, energy and talent to getting Air America off the ground and they fired her without just compensation:
"It's the sad old story of someone devoting 16 hour days to build an exciting, new venture -- and she's out the door without ... what she's promised," said Winstead's attorney, Edward Hernstadt. ...

Winstead, who had a base salary of $250,000, claimed in her lawsuit that she didn't receive four months' severance pay of $83,333, unused vacation time of $14,423 and $200,000 for her on-air work. ...

In addition, Winstead claimed she never received money due for her on-air promotional work for the Vermont Teddy Bear Co.

It's a sad day when a liberal gets screwed by Teddy Bears.

Speaking of unhappy liberals, Whoppi is a little bitter:

Goldberg, who was renounced last summer after making a lame double entendre about George W. Bush at a John Kerry fund-raiser, told Air America's "Politically Correct" host David Bender: "My party abandoned me. There's no other way to say it: they put their tails between their legs and they ran. I've closed my eyes to the party. I haven't turned my back on them, but I no longer feel comfortable saying that I feel like I'm represented by them. Until people can stand up for what's right in the face of whatever is flying at you, nothing is going to change."
Some people just don't know when they've gone too far.
