About AlphaPatriot

In real life, AlphaPatriot is Darrell Carden.

The views presented on this site in no way reflects those of my employer, family, friends, acquaintances or distant cousins as these generally fall into three categories: the smart ones that agree with me, those that tolerate me because of my wit, charm, great intellect and modesty, and those who think that I'm a raving wingnut who's one Kennedy away from going medieval on the next vegan moonbat that barks.

Tall Ships

TallShips.jpgThere are only two identical "Tall Ships" in the world and earlier this week they raced for the third time in as many years.

Although Prince William won the two previous matches, this year belonged to Stavros S Niarchos:

Due to the squally weather - worsening throughout the day - the ships set sail over a modified racing course in Solent, from markers off the coast of Cowes, Isle of Wight, to Gilkicker Point just south of Portsmouth. ...

Stavros S Niarchos finished just two minutes in front of Prince William, for an overall win of six and a half minutes over a total of five hours' racing. ...

The Tall Ships Youth Trust is a national charity dedicated to helping young people, aged 16-25, develop life skills through sailing Tall Ships. More vailable on www.tallships.org.

Wouldn't you love to be on one?
