Tommorrow, Why Ed?

Tomorrow is election day here in Tennessee. For conservative voters, there is one important choice yet to make: Ed Bryant or Van Hilleary for TN Senate?

My friends, it is time to toss Van:

  1. Going into early voting, Ed was ahead of Van in the polls.
  2. Shelby County is Ed's back yard and the number of voters that turned out for early voting set a new record.
  3. On the average, there was light voting across the rest of the state, which is bad news for Van. He cannot win.
  4. The light voting across the rest of the state is also bad for Corker. The unique combination of voting patterns gives me hope for the first time that Ed can beat Corker in spite of the money Corker is throwing at the election.

At this point, Van is out. A vote for Van is a vote for Corker who, incidentally polls the worst against Ford.

And really, in the end, there's just not that much difference between Corker and Ford.

The decision is clear. Vote Ed Bryant, the true conservative in the race. Don't believe me? Read Enduring Faith, Personal Integrity, Conservative Values by one who worked closely with Ed for almost three years.

And if anyone is looking for guidance as to how to vote for the forty county judicial races or 27 state judical confirmations take a look at my recommendations. Hours of research so you don't have to!

Bang. Again, right on target. I have always felt that Ed's integrity is unquestionable. I had concerns about his leaving the USAttorney position, but as my Congressman, he served me and his other constituents well and never gave me cause to doubt him. Without a doubt, this is, and has always been, a race between Ed and Corker. I can only hope that tomorrow evening/Friday morning leaves a true conservative and sincere public servant ready to face off with Jr. in November.

I was leaning toward Bryant over Hilleary until I was able to question them on WLAC-radio last week. I asked them about the Council on Foreign Relations plan for subverting our nation into a North Amerian Union--which Bush is apparently pursuing. Hilleary was somewhat squishy on his answer, but Bryant was defintiely against it and especially the secretive way in which it is currently being promoted...the New World Order way, by refusing to enforce our laws against illegal immigraion and by "trade agreements" (NAFTA and CAFTA) which are in reality like treaties which should muster a 2/3 majority.

I should add, lest it not be clear, Bryant has my enthusiastic vote in that he also has the endorsement of Gunowners of America.

Ron, your first response confuses me. You say you were for Bryant over Hilleary until Bryant gave you a straight answer that he stands firmly against the underhanded way the president is trying to set up a trade union similar to the EU.

It would seem that this would add to your support of Bryant, but that is not implied in your response.

I was present at a meeting in which Bryant was asked a question on the same topic.

Bryant responded that the whole thing smacks of the EU and that the Senate needs to pay attention to what the president is doing. He said that we need to be in a global trade union, not a North American one.

Like the time he answered your question, he stated concern about our borders, saying that they need to be strengthened. He says that he calls illegal immigrants "people who are illegally crossing our border" because they are not here to immigrate or assimilate. He said we must stop the bleeding by stationing a military presence on the border, whether it is the National Guard or regular troops, and give them enforcement power rather than put them in a supportive role like the president wants. He said this would send a clear signal to the Mexican government that we are not going to put up with this any more.

Further, when asked about the UN, he stated that he is not willing to concede an inch of sovereignty to the UN but believes that it does some good (he and I disagree on this point). He said that he voted to slow funding in protest of their policies.

While Bryant and I do not agree of every topic, I don't think I could ask for a better overall representative of my belief system.

Corker has been recently polling much better than the other candidates againist Ford...

You under estimate Corker's religious views amoung his true conservitive values
