Frist: Thompson Considers Run for Presidency

I talked to Fred Thompson last night, really just to share with him the tremendous support that he has received from all of you who have blogged on the Volpac web site over the past 4 days. In your messages many of you have given specific suggestions, and I passed them on to him. If there are messages, or ideas that you'd like to get to Fred, write them below, to stimulate others with your ideas, and I will share them with Fred. Now is the time for big ideas ... big, true conservative ideas that rise above the fray. Fred is listening. He will carefully consider running over the next several weeks. His public statements exactly reflect what he is thinking inside.
The clamor for a viable alternative GOP candidate is rising, and the hype cycle is just beginning. Fred Thompson is the new darling of the conservative base, and deservedly so. Thompson is smart, informed, charismatic, has incredible name recognition — and any man that could pull the left-wing Law and Order series back from being a blatant liberal propaganda machine can certainly be president.
Anyone have a mailing address for Fred? I'd like to write him personally to ask him to run (a handwritten letter is so much more effective than a vote in an online poll).

Dear Sen. Thompson,
It looks like your country is calling you! I count myself among the growing number of conservatives who want you to succeed! And who long for the rescue of common sense, political decency and forthright American power over appeasement.
So get on out there and win! And call me and tell me something an old writer can do to help you. I'd love to put a shoulder to the wheel in your behalf. Best of luck, Bob
